About the Sprint Center
Sprint Center is one of the newest indoor arenas in the world. It opened for business in 2007, and has yet to come into its own. Of course, this is sure to change in the near future. The people of Kansas City, Missouri should be glad that they have such a nice multi-purpose indoor venue in their city. Not only will this bring money to the city, but it will also do a lot for entertainment as well.
The AFL's Kansas City Brigade is set to play home games at Sprint Center starting in 2008. At this time, they are the only professional sports team to have signed a lease agreement with the property. Of course, there is a very good chance that this is going to change in the near future.
The seating capacity of Sprint Center ranges from 18,500 for sporting events to more than 23,000 for concerts. As you can imagine, plenty of performers will be stopping by Sprint Center for concerts thanks to the large seating capacity. There is no denying that this venue will quickly become one of the best for concerts.
Sprint Center has effectively replaced Kemper Arena, which was built in 1974 just a few miles away in the southern portion of the West Bottoms. Additionally, the College Basketball Experience, which includes the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame will be connected to and located directly north of Sprint Center.
Located in downtown Kansas City, Sprint Center has a great location. This is in addition to a modern design, as well as an up and coming event schedule that is sure to grow as each month passes by.
